Puneet Gupta

Puneet Gupta is a serial entrepreneur, an award-winning businessman, husband and father of two daughters. He is the co-owner and co-CEO of PG Paper Company Ltd, an award-winning paper company based in Scotland, UK. With sustainability and community at its heart, PG Paper is one of Scotland’s largest trading companies, providing a holistic and integrated service through its dynamic expert teams with a presence in over 60 countries. A solution-driven paper company, PG Paper work with global mill partners creating markets and enabling trade across the globe.

The company’s achievements have been recognised with awards from various chambers of commerce, Ernst & Young, The Herald Family Awards, Scottish Export Awards, Scottish BQ Awards, Scottish Asian Business Awards, BDO British Indian Awards, the Scottish SME Business Awards and the FSB Awards. Puneet has also been the recipient of multiple business and community awards on both a regional and national level recognising combined business and charitable efforts. Most recently, Puneet was awarded the honour of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for Services to Business, Charity and the Community in the 2023 New Year Honours List. Puneet was also awarded the Special Award for Business Leadership at the 20th Asian Achievers Awards celebrating leaders across the UK, recognising his continuous drive, focus and leadership.

Puneet has broad industry experience gained in both the public and private sectors ranging from hospital management to pharmaceutical management consultancy, and now as an entrepreneur with a diverse business portfolio across property, healthcare, hospitality and leisure sectors. Puneet also has an investment portfolio with a particular focus on early-stage investments in ed-tech, fin-tech and med-tech.

Community

Puneet is heavily involved in a range of community activities. From helping give people from ethnic backgrounds a voice in politics to bringing diverse groups together through events and playing an active role in his local area.

Puneet is proud to have sponsored Diwali events at the Scottish Parliament, bringing together various members of the Scottish Asian community. He has also helped coordinate events through the British Asian Trust with His Majesty King Charles III in attendance.

Many of Puneet’s endeavours also concentrate on the local community through partnerships with charities such as Ardgowan Hospice and MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy, as well as initiatives with organisations such as Inverclyde Leisure and The Beacon Arts Centre.
